777 what's your macros look like?

4 hours of walking wouldn't be bad for me. I'm always walking at work

Mine are 1g protein per pound of bodyweight plus max of 20g carbs&20g fat. For me that's 196g protein a day plus the carbs and fat.

Tell me your height, weight, bf% and if you are going to lift or not and I will plug it into the calculator and post the results. Btw the carbs are net carbs so you can have plenty of green veggies

My macros have been
213g protein
~15g carbs (green beans)
~19g fat (from the chicken breast)

Switching over to some asparagus instead of green beans today.

205, 67 inches, 20%

I'm doing high fat at the moment but I'll try this after April. I plan on reading the book from your drive.

I'm guessing you've never heard of Cory Gregory's anabolic fasting?

I'd like to get your thoughts on it if so

Anabolic fasting is just a bastardized version of lean gains without many of the things that make lean gains successful. Granted I don't have access to the site so just going off cliff notes people posted. Seems like he wants you in full ketosis then carb backloading but the backloading doesn't make sense. Dunno if he running it more as a cyclic Keto diet or trying to legitimately do carb cycling and backloading.

If you wanna do carb cycling and backloading with IF then do lean gains. On lg 90%+ of your carbs are coming post workout and you aren't really eating carbs on non workout days when you don't need them.

Like I said I don't have access to the site though. Maybe he has some studies and on to something but I doubt it.

Haha just wish I followed it all times. Man I'm getting in some stationary biking right now at lunch and I am 100% zonked completely. Gonna schedule a refeed for next Friday for sure. Wanted to wait til end of third week but not sure I can, I'll play by ear but as right now my body is screaming for calories.

I can guarantee there's no true science or studies behind it.

How would you get into ketosis though if you're carbbing up every weekend? I mean the people who follow it have shown results but I don't know if it's because they're following a diet for once

I don't know what a refeed means or consists off, but I'm going strong right now. About to take some stimulants in about 2 hours.

Well the carb up every weekend is just a traditional ckg diet or anabolic diet(google it). It's the first 12 days of below 25g carbs then he mentions carb backloading with eating the carbs at night but doesn't have them directly after your workout. Furthermore he has a second carb day which is fine but he has you eating the carbs after the workout so then you spend the whole week burning them off only to then start over. He just throws IF in there. It almost like he took a bunch of diets that work and just tried to throw them together with no knowledge of why each works so well.

Ultimate diet 2.0 or body opus are much better ckd diets especially UD which is based off the original UD which was an improved body opus. It's in the Lyle McDonald folder if you wanna read it.

Refeed is where you take in carbs and above maintenance calories to reset hormone levels. Honestly now that I am off the bike I am good again. I notice that if it's not walking or on an upright bike, I start getting pissy when it starts to burn.

In the simplest of terms, how damaging would it be for me to have one refeed meal Saturday night after starting keto this past Sunday? Everything I've read says to wait 4-6 weeks

I'm not trying to drop weight super quick or anything so it's definitely a marathon for me. But if it's gonna take more than a day or so to recover then I likely won't do it

Everyone is different on how long it takes to switch over. Once you do switch to fat burning and are use to it, you can carb out one day and be back into ketosis the next day or so. I know my mood is much crappier though if I do carb up.

But there's practically zero chance I'll already be in ketosis after only a week eh?
