So have you actually tried Holy Roller lately, or are you still going by that one time you had it a year ago?
If you think Holy Roller is shite right now, then you're just being obstinate.
I try my best to drink local, but how often does a consumer need to try a bad product before they can say "frick it, this is shite" and not be considered obstinate?
I ask, because the cans on shelf haven't changed since the last few times I bought holy roller and was underwhelmed.

I hadn't had it since last summer when it was OK. Tried the 3/9 batch, and it's really good. Is it Treehouse or Trillium? No. But it's a solid to good IPA, that for $9 a six pack of cans makes for a nice daily drinker.
This whole mindset of, "if it's not world class, it's crap" is getting really fricking old.

Drank it like a week after Mardi Gras. Yes, it's better, but it's still not good. The only reason to buy it over Envie?
It's in a can. That's it. Period.
Also, Finial wasn't good when I had it the other day. It tasted too green. That could change in time, of course.

Yet, you'll drink Bud Heavy and High Life in the pool hall. But Urban South isn't good.

You're welcome to come with me sometime and scope out the beer selection.

I thought Finial was decent the other day when I had it on tap.
I think I am trained to Envie now, so I unfairly rank everything against it.

That's fine, but imagine if we did that with food. Well, I had a filet mignon the other night, so nothing I eat the rest of my life is gonna ever stack up.

C'mon, dude. That analogy breaks down so quickly it's not even funny.
You can absolutely compare other cuts of steak to your filet and have a preference. Just like I can compare other IPAs and Pale Ales to Envie. I probably shouldn't compare my omelet to that filet, however, just like I shouldn't shite on, I don't know, Farmhouse Slang, for not being Envie.

But just because you might really like the filet (or ribeye or whatever your preference is) doesn't mean the flank steak sucks. Both can be perfectly enjoyable. The notion that Holy Roller (or Juke Joint or ___________ IPA) is not a good beer simply because you like Envie or Bloom more is ridiculous. The pretentiousness here and on those stupid Facebook groups is out of control.

They've got crowlers and a new canner that can do some specialty beers. See the Hog Tied Wit in cans at the moment.
They have a label machine now. Mecha is going bye bye and one of those juicy IPA's from the tap room will get canned in its place.

This is all good news. More places should get the labeling machines and blank cans so they can not be tied to minimum orders of cans and can put some of the one off batches into cans.

Absolutely. It's tough for a small brewery to get to the point where they can put money into the equipment.
Business idea: Start a mobile canning service, where you bring the cannery to the brewery. Small brewers can use the service on demand. I've always wondered why distributors don't offer this kind of service to attract new clients.
