Agreed. Know that I am not a snob. I will eat the hell out of some velveeta but I just cant see it on a sammy.

I'll enjoy other cheeses on a grilled cheese but nothing is as satisfying as American cheese.

I use whatever I have and sometimes if all I have is bunny bread and American, that's what goes together.
If I pre-plan the grilled cheese, I do a little more. Last time I did gruyere and havarti on sourdough.
I could eat the entire block of havarti
