Propane hose burning up during crawfish boil

Twice now in the last 2 seasons, I have had a propane hose burn up during the boil
I check everytime before I boil to make sure there is no leak at the burner and the fitting is on tight
I use a 60psi regulator and hose
This never used to happen, now it has happened twice. Are the hoses just cheap and the flow of gas is knocking the fittings? Is the rubber hose getting hot, melting, then getting holes which gas leaks out of then catches on fire? (I also use heat shield over hose.)
Both times, i have put on the cheap 10psi all in once hose that came with the burner and it never fails.
Thoughts?
ETA: Admins, I just put this on the OT board as well. Not sure which one it is better suited for

Get the new metal hose.
If for some reason, the leak of gas is coming from the hose fitting at the burner, a fire is still going to start. Im just perplexed because it never used to happen, and it never happens with the 10psi hose that came with the burner

I had the same thing happen. I think mine was caused by a spider and/or its web in the pipe leading to the burner, which caused a disruption in the flow of the propane and flame, causing it to come back out the pipe and melt the hose where it connected. You probably already do this, but a good idea to check all burners and pipes to make sure nothing is impeding the flow.

Mine was totally my fault. I had the bottle too close and the hose was too close to the fire. A little change in the wind and poof.

Get an air compressor and blow out you burner. It’s probably clogged

What brand are you using?
Can you tell if the hose is cracking which is catching fire, or is the fire blowing down the hose from the fitting?
I only seen this once. I needed a fourth burner, and a friend of mine was looking to buy one, so he just bought one for us to use. It was the Bayou Classic brand. I told him not to buy it, but he was cheap. First time using it, about 10 min in, the hose cracked and caught fire.

I seen it several times on friends set up. The cause was the hose connection was too close to the burner. The fire would mushroom back down toward the ground burning the hose.
The fix was to extend the burner connection out with an 8-12" piece of rigid pipe then connect the hose.
