Closings starting to snowball ahead of summer. Primitivo is shutting down Saturday per nola.com

Yeah, not happy about this. Adolfo basically said they made a mistake on OCH being ready. Said though it has improved, it isn't there yet and lacks the necessary foot traffic and other businesses.

Going to have to try to get in tomorrow or Friday.

I think Adolfo had been running the kitchen recently. Was still killer.

Think we are at satuararon levels between new openings, food trucks and popups. This place is great though, too bad.

Yup, biggest tragedy in the city this week.

Can't agree with that. At least it's not near a police dump/depot.

I will miss it more than anything else.

Unless the taco truck on Claiborne closes too.

Then I put the house up for sale.

I'd be more upset if a place like Toup's Meatery closes. Need to go back there soon.

First Purloo and now Primitivo - that stretch of Oretha Haley can't catch a break.

Was that the name of the place. Never went.

Toups seems to do a good job at lunch.

The market is hurting too from what is being said.

Casa Borrega is still doing good I think, the Carre market thing has good options, but I always seem to be one of the only ones there.

Just a tough location. People in the CBD have plenty of lunch options. No one wants to go there after dark because it's still kind of sketchy.

Yeah, I think they sort of put the cart before the horse on the 'if you build it, they will come' mindset of development in that area. There just ain't enough 'they' willing to overcome what it takes to come around there just yet.

Disappointing to hear. This had become a favorite among the newer spots of the last few years. Some strong plates, generally good service - I will miss the place.

The place was good but too pricey for that area. Plain and simple. Borrega does well because they have things on the menu that are affordable and that people in that area would be interested in eating. People in that neighborhood aren't going to pay $23 for a few ribs.
