The recipe remains "secret" to my knowledge - but the following is what is in a Rum Ramsey per Robert Hess:

Rum Ramsey

1 3/4 oz (60 ml) light Cuban-style rum
1/4 oz ( 10 ml) bourbon whiskey
1/4 oz (10 ml) fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp granulated sugar
1 dash Peychaud Bitters

Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
I'm going to agree with Savannah. On a recent trip we hit The Distillery, Husk (twice), The Grey, The Atlantic, Cotton & Rye, Clary's, The Green Truck Pub.

With the exception of Husk, which was excellent but bizarrely empty both times we found the food to be completely underwhelming. Travel magazine stuff that looks better on the plate than it eats.

A very pretty town to be sure and drinks at Artillery and The Alley Cat Lounge were quite good but way over rated as a dining destination.
Rat - Paprika does not have the publishing capability.

The exporting options are there - but limited.

Recipes can be exported as Paprika files - useful only to send to other Paprika users.

The second option is to export as html files - which will also create a clickable index to individual recipes. Any of these can then be saved in PDF format.

There is probably some way to get to what you need using the latter - but you will definitely need at least one more jump to get to a formatted, easily shareable ebook.

Sorry Rat.
Happy to know the suggestion was useful. Hope the transfer from the old files isn't too painful.

Rat - I've been using Paprika Recipe Manager (now Version 3) for about four years and through one major update. I like that it provides for easy recipe capture from websites, syncs across my computers and phones, and allows for easy scaling. It's a little pricey but I feel I've gotten good value from the program.

A few more...

For breakfast/brunch/lunch...

Bearcat Cafe has quite a few options

Horns in the Marigny for GF waffles

Dinner

Ye Olde College Inn is very accommodating and has a good number of options.

Delmonico's and Doris Metropolitan are also easy.

Arabella's for pasta.

Shake Sugary for pastries.

Hope this helps.

Casamento's for gluten free fried seafood. Just ask for no bread on the bottom of the plate if you get a platter. They also have GF beer.

Theo's for GF pizza.

Commanders, Mr. B's Bistro (pretty much all of the Brennan places) have all been accommodating.

Red Gravy for pasta.

All in all N.O. has been one of the easier places to eat out with my GF S.O. If you are judicious in your menu choices and not selecting the bread with bread platter, generally the servers can steer you appropriately.
Thanks very much everyone, seems like some very good suggestions. Definitely have an interest in the Alley Cat Lounge, Alligator Soul, Cotton & Rye, the Distillery, Crystal Beer Parlor, The Grey and the Green Truck.

About the Savannah outpost of Husk. I've not made it to the original Charleston location yet and I'm curious if they are comparable in experience.

I do take the point that we should allow ourselves to be tourists - and since it is our first time through the city we will definitely be doing things like taking a trolley tour, heading out to Bonaventure Cemetery and getting a scoop at Leopold's. It's just because I split time between NYC and N.O. and see so many people opt in for crappy Bourbon Street/Times Square venues that in hitting a new city I'd like to maximize my chances of trying some really worthwhile spots and activities.

Again, thanks for all the contributions so far!
Visiting Savannah for the first time and spending four nights near Chatham Square.

Looking for some recommendations for restaurants and bars.

Open on cuisine, open on price - just looking for great food. Tend to prefer my bars with a bit of history and my cocktails classic - but open to a good new experience.

I've been counseled to avoid the tourist zone on River Street and that The Grey should be on my must list - but would appreciate some more informed opinions.

Thanks in advance!
There have been times that I've come close to only ordering the schlag. The streudel is quite good but it truly is an excuse to eat a bowl of schlag. Um, schlag.

That said, the sundae is killer.
For a table of four...

Apps - ask the waiter for the off menu chopped salad. It combines the tomato & onion salad with the grilled thick cut bacon and chopped chilled shrimp. Dress it with the steak sauce. Add in an order of the split lamb chops and your starters are set.

Main - Porterhouse. For a table with a couple of light eaters you'll be fine with a steak for two. Sides of german potatoes, cream spinach and onion rings.

Dessert - ice cream sundae, streudel with schlag

That is sad bad news. Great combo of food and setting. Will definitely be missed.

Fedeli's is the best, sometimes difficult to source.

Redpack trails Fedeli's - but I prefer them over the SMT's.

campari

refreshing, no sugar

Just be aware that there is a large amount of sugar in Campari - roughly 7 grams per ounce. For comparison, an ounce of Coca Cola has bit over 3 grams an ounce.

Couple of things to know for Don Pepe's. Cash only, no reservations, closed Mondays and figure on being there at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Recommended dishes. Baked clams, chicken scarpariello (order it with sausage & peppers), either veal Don Pepe or veal and eggplant, either shrimp Luciano (over pasta) or linguine with white clam sauce (ask for it pink, with a touch of tomato). The fried peppers or the escarole are also worthwhile. Go with the house wine, it won't kill you and the better bottles available are overpriced.

One further thing - I'd say an Uber to Manhattan at this time of day is a going to be long, expensive and dreary - and those suggesting the Airtrain to the MTA may actually hate you.

Check out Don Pepe's in Ozone Park. It's fairly close to the airport and is a genuine old school Italian classic.

The caveat is they serve big, family style plates - if you are dining solo it's going to be too much food.

Unless something has changed, Gene's makes their own hot sausage patties.
Bearcat Cafe on Jena just off Freret.
