So I've just heard about this Portniy guy through this thread. What are his qualifications? I've watched some of his reviews and he just seems like a giant douche. Why the love?

Stating that it’s not on the level of other places in northeast isn’t “shitting” on it; it’s speaking truth. His list proves that: over 200+ places are rated higher than the #1 place in Louisiana. A 7.8 is a good, not great, score. I also never said that any of the New Orleans/Metairie places were "bad"; they just don't compare when you're looking at the grand scheme of things.
If you want to believe that Louisiana has great pizza, hey, knock yourself out. I'm certainly not going to change my mind about Fiori's being great despite it only being a 7.8 on his scale.
