Idk man...you used to be able catch it two or three times a year but now it's more like once. L&N just had the twin packs for $1.29lb so I picked up one. Came to around $25 bucks so that's not terrible.

I haven't but as long as you have fat to add to it, you should be fine.

If you're into smoking, pork butts make excellent sausage and boudin. I know it isn't the pure traditional cut, but you can use it in jambalaya.
