Has to be hands down the best bar b q place in BR (it looks a little run down and the place could use a face-lift) but I love it.

If it is the same chain they have in West Monroe, the beans are really good.

Barbeque is good, but not the best I've ever had, but the beans are awesome.

I've only had the ones in N LA though

Podnuh's beams are only surpassed by Danken Trail on the GOAT baked bean hierarchy.

Podnuh's isn't bad but the best imo in BR is across the bridge in Port Allen, Couyons. That brisket melts in your mouth and the sides are all really good. Outside of BR, but still close my hands down favorite in the area is Wayne's BBQ in Livingston. Everything is good there...everything.

Do they still serve chicken legs that are the size of a chicken drummette?

We are in bad shape if all we have is beans to celebrate.

I want a Jays BBQ sandwich.

I personally think Podnuhs is pretty bad (except the beans), but Jay's on Sherwood is just plain terrible. My go-to used to be Firehouse in Watson, but as far as chain BBQ I prefer Sonny's. Going there in a little while, as a matter of fact.

Is Pimanyoli's still open? I used to go pretty frequently but I haven't been that way in a while. It was respectable as I recall.

I think they kept really weird hours, which was sort of a turn-off.

I like it but have a hard time getting over how dirty the place is. You literally stick to the tables and seats.

Yep, the BR Sonnys is back in business. It was completely gutted and totally redone, all brand spanking new. I think it has a temp phone but dunno the number. Opened last week.

Has anyone been there yet since it's reopened? How is it?
