Given his criteria (people from out of town, not breaking the bank), I would think Ruffino's is going to be his best bet.
They have food ranging from steak, to Italian, to all out seafood dishes. There are upper end dishes for those looking to shell out, and there are some excellent moderately priced dishes for the average man crowd. Service is good, and there is always some type of special.
I would highly recommend that you send most of your family that way.

I went to Ruffino's last night and it was packed. Met Mr. Ruffin for the first time and was really cool. He sang Happy Bday to my girlfriends mom and sounded like Andrea Bocelli, she was in tears. I highly suggest if your fam wants to have a ton of fun with incredible food (I had the filet with BBQ shrimp on top!)
