First and foremost, never use a vacuum around customers dining in a restaurant..That's a breaking a basic restaurant rule.
Furthermore, I've just had my chair whacked three times with a carpet sweepe by a server. Fail. Hence this post.
That is all.

What great dining establishment was this?

Sounds like amateur hour. I'd be annoyed as well.
Was at a restaurant this evening for happy hour and I noticed that when they carry the dirty dishes from the bar to the back the cover the tub with a large cloth towel so customers don't have to look at a pile of dirty dishes while they're eating. I liked that touch.

Better than breaking out the mop and mop bucket with ammonia in it. I've had that happen and it will clean out your sinuses.

That's what you get for eating at Waffle House at 2am.

Man that's Waffle House during the morning rush. But those cheese eggs and raisin toast are worth it along with the scattered, covered, smothered and tossed around the room hash browns.

I hate it when they do that too.

On the bussed dishes, it's also nice if they don't just throw the damned dishes from the table to the tub. It's like they are oblivious to the racket it makes.

I can't stand this as well!
I also hate the smell of dirty mop water that lingers. Ruffino's bar area smells like a bucket of old mop water.

Another peeve, piling on: the sanitizing spray cloud that wafts over from the next table when the server clears & resets it. Gaahh. That stuff, depending on what's in it, can tip me into an asthma attack. Would rather the restos use a pre-moistened disposable wipe of some sort...like buttwipes for tabletops.

Without fail, every time I eat at Cane's, at some point during my meal, I can count on the employees coming around and dousing the tables with cleaning solution. I mean it's cool that they keep that bitch clean but frick, I don't want all my food tasting like Windex.

They are trained to clean the table once a customer leaves. Sort of have to just deal with it.

Yeah, I know. And I'm kind of conflicted too, because I can appreciate the cleanliness. Much better than the place being dirty as shite, but sometimes the Windex smell gets strong, and it's just funny that it happens every time.
