The Pizza Man opened on Boston St. (technically 190 I guess) back in the late '70s, very early '80s. It was located next to Fat Tom's record store when you drove around that dogleg from Hwy 21 to Boston St. by SSA.
They moved out by Lee Road and Cordell Furniture (RIP) some time around the mid 80's. I assume they are still over there.

What type of pie would the one I posted be considered?I'd like to know for any future references.

No. They have one location, that I am aware of and it is on 190 in Covington. They do not take credit cards, cash or check only. The pizza is really good and the place is run down. I would venture to say it has been in this location for the past 50 years with the original lights, ceiling grid and tiles, paint, etc. It is like you are going back in time 30 or so years when you go there.
They do serve a mean pitcher of draft beer however. Like I said, pizza is really good. They have an open window space where the kids can sit and watch the Pizza Man roll the dough and make each pie as they are ordered.
Funny. If you replace "190 in Covington" with "Government Street in Baton Rouge", you've basically described Fleur de Lis as Fleur de Lis lovers would describe it.

Pastime downtown
Hadn't put that together, but PastTimes would give one something like going to Pizza Man. Good pizza, cold beer, quirky atmosphere.

The fun of taking a Little League team to Pizza Man after a game, especially 7/8 year olds ... wide eyes pressed against the glass, jukebox playin, cold beer flowing ...
