I'm the same. I'll enjoy any put in front of me, but probably prefer thin crust, neapolitan style.
This fall we flew in an out of Detroit while heading to Mackinaw Island and the UP. The night before our return flight we decided that we needed to try Detroit style pizza. Really enjoyed it, the rectangular crust was almost like a buttery focaccia with enough crispness on the bottom and edges to make it more than bready. Good sauce and enough toppings and cheese to balance the thick crust.

for me if its deep dish it needs lots of cheese and toppings so its thick bread and equally thick layer of toppings.
i like thin crust for a normal regular amount of toppings.
its a crime we dont have a godfathers pizza around here anywhere, those things are the definition of thick topping pizza

Deep Dish is pretty good. Thin crust is like a cracker someone here said.
