I'm going to a friends place for a couples wine tasting and they asked that I bring a Pinot. My budget would be something in the $50 dollar range, but a little cheaper or more expensive is fine. As it will be pretty much a blind taste test I don't think catering to any particular pallet matters just looking to hear about some of your favorite Pinots and if you can include the price range that would be appreciated.

Cheers

There are no requirements, but I'm probably going to go with something from the US. If you have a wine in mind that you think would be a hit I'd love to hear about it.

In that price range that most everyone would know and like, I'd go with a Belle Glos. Clark and Telephone is the best of the 3 vineyards.

ETA: Or Goldeneye.

Both wines people will know and usually crowd favorites. If you want to bring something they probably have never had before, any French burgundy.

I like duckhorn a lot, but I believe one of the guests is bringing the cab so I want to change it up.

Meiomi always seems to win those kinds of competitions. I’m not a fan but ppl seem to like it.

Meiomi originally was from Belle Glos. They would make their wines for the 3 single vineyard wines and whatever barrels weren't quite right to be called "Clark and Telephone" or "Las Alturas" or "Dairyman" they would mix the three together to be Meiomi. So basically you were getting a wine that was much better than the price ($15). Once the popularity exploded, price went through the roof and the wine became it's own entity separate from Belle Glos.
