I actually feel it has made somewhat of a comeback. You see it on more menus and it is always in southern living or garden and gun.

You'll likely see a house made version at Cotton. It's very tasty.

I love pimento cheese. I had this the other day and it was excellent. Belle Chevre Pimento Goat Cheese

I know they carry it at Costco.

I also wonder why modern chefs haven't included it on more dishes.

Susan Spicer has a pimento cheese and andoille sandwich at Mondo. Had it for lunch a couple of years ago and I remember it being really good.

I don't think there's a greater disparity between the quality of something homemade vs. a packaged item than pimento cheese. I've had some really really good scratch made pimento cheese at restaurants .. but the stuff they sell in the tubs at grocery stores is absolutely fricking disgusting.

My wife makes it once or twice a month. She uses grated cheddar. It's great. I'll also tear up a tub of Mrs. Weavers.

Go to Walmart and look for Palmetto Pimento Cheese spread. Best store bought I've found.

Met its end? Have you not tried Palmetto Cheese?

Or the next time you are in ATL go to the grind house. They make a Pimento Cheese burger that would make a vegetarian's mouth water.

I live outside of ATL we still have places that have it on the menu. Love it.

I tore through some cheap pimento cheese and beers last time I was at the Masters. It's fantastic. Can't wait to go back one day.

Triple D? I caught an episode of that last night and they made a Pimento cheese and ham Panini.

There's this place in Vestavia that has a Pimento cheeseburger that is great. I never ate stuff like egg salad, chicken salad, or pimento cheese growing up, but started in high school and college. I was missing out for years.

the second best burger in Nola (@ High Hat) is a pimento cheese burger. it's made in house and it's phenomenal, especially when it drips onto your pile of french fries.

Yeah, my wife looked at me crazy when I ordered it. But it was excellent. The place is called The Ridge Tavern, and is in the Rocky Ridge district of Vestavia. Used to be a bar called Tommy's Up Top. It is on the 2nd floor of this strip mall. Probably not a good place for a bar where the only reliable access is a set of concrete stairs, but the restaurant is doing well. Always busy when we go, and they have a good draft beer selection to go with the burgers.
