Brisket sandwich or salad is pretty good. Place has not been the same since Pieman passed away.

Never been before, but read the about us thing on their website. I'm sure some of the passion is gone after he passed away.

The menu all sounds good from what I was reading, just looking for the can't miss items.

Brisket salad, the warren, the irregular, and the sidewalk burger are all good options.

Not sure how do they at this location? But, it would be nice if they had another one or relocated their existing closer to BR.

He and his wife, Mrs. Yolanda own the place. He did most of the cooking, I think. Both were and are very nice people.

Their last name is Perriloux, ans yes they're closely related to Ryan.

BBLTA was damn good. Brisket was pretty Salty and spicy on some bites. I usually never find food being too salty.

Tasted the beans, mac & cheese and a smoked wing.

Beans were good with some brisket and smoke in them.

Mac & cheese was meh.

Smoked wing was tasty.

Overall I liked the food, but not sure I would make a special trip to visit again. Another person in our party wanted to go there and it was his call. Glad I went to experience it, and if they could get the spice/salty combination down to perfection, I would visit frequently.

I read other reviews online after posting here for suggestions and my concerns were the same of others before me. This tells me it's not just an off night.

I have these same issues when I cook barbecue. I usually under spice the meat, so I understand the struggle of flavoring the meat when attempting to please everyone. The only difference is I don't do it as my source of income.

I would have to think when Mr. Piman was alive , he would have corrected the issue at this point. They should have this down to perfection after 8 years in business. You could also say they are doing something right since they are still in business after 8 years.

Again, thank you for your suggestions. Very friendly staff and owner came around to say hello. Despite that one issue, the food was delicious.
