You might want to call first to be sure that I'm remembering correctly!

Lots of Pho with tripe here in BR. I got into Pho in DC and am always blown away with each bowl. I feel sad at the bottom of the bowl, yet happy because the flavours have become complex.

I will venture to the Wank this weekend for sure. I'll have to settle for Pho Tai for lunch tomorrow in Harahan.

My pho last night was disappointing.

It wasn't bad...just not as good as it always is. It just seemed to lack depth of flavor.

Oh believe me, I did. I was trying everything to get it to be as good as usual, and it just wasn't. I left with some seriously clear sinuses, but still disappointed.

combination Pho

I ordered this at the little place off of Florida in the shady looking shopping center (can't remember the name, but it's on the other side of Flroida from Pho Quynh). Anyway, I got the combination but didn't know what was in it because it was all Vietnamese. Next thing I know I had all types of beef, tendon, and random tentacles crawling out of my bowl.

That pho place has the best broth in BR, but I had to eat around all the stuff I didn't like or couldn't chew. It's cash only, and you have to sit next to the cook's kids while they do their homework.

Do any restaurants/stores in NO sell that tea with the little balls in it?

So, what's the consensus for Baton Rouge? Who has the best Pho and which one?

And which Vietnamese restaurant is the best...apart from pho?

I enjoy the pho at Little Saigon, Tasty Casian, and Pho Quyhn. I think I'm in the minority for liking it at pho quyhn but I've always enjoyed it.

Spring rolls at little saigon are tops

Vietnamese poboy at Tasty Casian is awesome

Pho Quhyn has a larger menu and I find myself going there more because of this. I love the spicy grilled quail and venison curry.

Service is great at TC and PQ. It sucks at LS and I've been numerous times and have never once had good service.

Dangs is the real deal. Little Saigon is excellent. Pho Quan has gone south a bit--less authentic than it used to be. Tasty Casian and the plac eon Highland have good Pho as well.

Yeah. I get the one with pork and ask for extra toppings (pickeled carrots, cilantro, jalapenos).

Zombie, you ever get the poboy at Saigon? I like the one at Tasty Casian for the size, but their bread tastes like it comes from the Albertson's across the street.

No. I haven't been to Saigon in a while, mostly because the service turned me off. I'm going to go back soon and try their poboy. I've heard good things.

Bubble Tea. I know they sell it at the little place inside Hong Kong Market.
