Have you eaten at the Italian Barrel? That's the one I want to try next.

I don't regret trying it. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. I thought it would be okay, though, and every meal doesn't have to be a wow moment.

Gaston, Italian Barrel was on the larger list and got axed in favor of Irene's. I wasn't crazy about the menu at IB, though I've heard great things about it. I think we'll end up there eventually. If you go, report back. Don't see much on here about it.

Love the look of all the dishes from R'evolution. Thanks for the pics.

So how awkward are you when you take pictures of everyone's food? I ask because I totally do it too.

I'm not awkward at all. I can take them very quickly and I don't use a flash. I saw other folks in various restaurants taking pics, too.

I watched a Bourdain episode last night from Lyon, France and he took his cell out a few times and snapped photos. You know that's a serious meal when he's compelled to take photos.

Great reviews Gris! That is one hell of a trip, save for a couple slip ups here and there I dont' think you could have asked for a more entertaining few days of dining. Glad you like Rev. I know people are hot or cold on it, but I think it's damn solid place. I think we were there on the same day because when I went the tiger striped Lambo was parked right out front as well. Met the owner while I was sitting at the bar. Guy was a grade A drunk. Got annoying listening to him ramble on about his money. At least the salumi plate made up for it

No I was there on the Thursday night before meeting my gf downtown after she got off work late. He must have been in town for several days. Apparently he loves at Rev and Chart Room when he's in town I like sitting at the bar there. Good little bar menu and they actually have some bees I haven't seen elsewhere. Decent wines by the glass, if not a tad high on price per.

Some people park their Lamorghinis outside, some park their bikes. Who am I to judge?
