Highly recommend, was very glad I tried the OP's recipe out. It has been a household favorite and super easy to do any way you want to.


I'm curious who our downvoter is in here. Who the hell downvotes peanut butter pie?

Made some last night and stuck in the freezer. I did just a little less powdered sugar than recipe calls for.
Made a bananas foster and put on top of one of the pies today and stuck it in the fridge. I took it to a Christmas party tonight and it was a hit. My buddies wife said it was the best pie she’s ever had.

How far ahead of time do you take out the freezer?

You can take it straight out of the freezer and cut it and serve if you’d like. Some keep them in the fridge and serve that way. Either is fine, just depends on the consistency you want.

The ones I froze, I usually let freeze for a couple hours, took out and cut, and then put back in the freezer until ready to serve (usually next day). They can get a little hard to cut if it freezes overnight, but nothing a good pizza cutter can't handle. I've been eating them straight from the freezer and they were great. Had one at thanksgiving that took out and it probably sat on the counter for an hour or so, maybe little more, and was definitely the usual restaurant served consistency as it thawed but still great, so either option is perfectly fine.

Finally made it today! Went right by the recipe other than adding another 1/2 cup of peanut butter.

Just popped it in the freezer and I will add chocolate ganache after it sets up. I ate the bit left in the bowl and cannot WAIT for the final product!

I feel like I will be kicking myself for waiting so long to try.

Just put mine in the freezer. I tasted the mix and it’s amazing. Added a little more peanut butter and condensed milk. Chopped up small Reese’s peanut butter cups and put some (full) on top with some caramel drizzle and dark chocolate drizzle. I will finish with some whipped cream and report back.

Glad you like it. I really like everyone’s spin on it. Different crusts, toppings, etc…. I feel like you could even use the actual filling as a dip if you didn’t freeze it. Maybe dip it with graham cracker sticks or something similar.

I made it with your recipe a few nights ago. I ended up with enough to fill 1.5 pie tins so just filled up one tin pretty full and saved the rest. I personally don’t eat sweets but the pie was an absolute hit and by far the favorite desert there. I’ll definitely be making again with a few possible twists, the options are endless

Just came back here to say thank you again for this deliciousness. I’ve slightly modified it for my tastes but man is this recipe on point!

I put two in the freezer yesterday and had a bite after the vigil last night. Man is this stuff amazing!


My mod is to double the recipe but half the amount of cream cheese while adding about 1 1/2 times the peanut butter.
