I'll be in the area tomorrow and was thinking of giving this place a try, based on the reviews. Anybody been?

It’s ok. Couyons is the best place in Port Allen. Paul is a good dude.

I haven't been to the Port Allen restaurant since I left my old job, but I remember it being very good.
I get the lunch plate at the one downtown at least once a week.
Favorites: Black Pepper Chicken and Shrimp
Kung Pao Chicken
Hot and Spicy Shrimp
eta: Also, in terms of best lunch, I'd put Couyon's maybe 4th/5th in Port Allen. Behind Court Street Cafe, Bergeron's Meat Market, Pic-A-Pac Fried Chicken, and Rotolos. Though I guess that's just personal preference as I've never found Couyon's to be that good.
