I prefer penne or rotini pasta instead of spaghetti noodles. I have the rice / stock ratio good. Just don’t have much experience in cooking pastalya. Any help is appreciated

I use 1 quart to 1lbs up to 5lbs then cut back a little the more I add. Not far off from the rice ratio.

I use 4.5 cups of water per pound of pasta. Add the pasta and cook until most of the water is gone. Then turn the fire off and put the lid on the pot and let it sit with the lid on for 10 minutes. The pasta will soak up the rest of the water.

Jamb calc is stickied and it’s spot on. Has the ratios you need for pasta.

Try 1 1/4 quarts liquid per pound of pasta.

Most cooks use between 1 and 1 1/2 quarts of liquid per pound of pasta.

I use about 20lbs of meat, 5lbs of veg, a gallon of stock. Then 5lbs of noodles.
