While I'm sad to see a local restaurant close, they never really did it for me. I tried several different tacos, but nothing I ever ate was memorable enough to make me want to go back.

Damn. That sucks.

But like Gumbo said, they never really did it for me either.

Ki is cheaper, better, and more central for most people.

Head to head I prefer Ki but I always liked Parish. Kind of a different take on tacos with non traditional stuff like the Korean BBQ and Alabama white chicken taco. Location was prohibitive for my part though.

this is true for most people

and Parish closing is a big blow for wanting to make that area of Texas Street a place to go and hang out

It’s a good idea and highly possible when our lords and leaders are ready to allow us to fend for ourselves and let us make decisions about how we want to live- I just hope they are the only casualty in that area

This one hurts.... it was seriously special for me and my wife for a number of reasons. The people who ran it were awesome and worked their assess off to bring something fun and different. They have been changing hours like crazy probably trying to use what little staff they could retail to get people who worked downtown since no one has been coming downtown for the shut down nightlife....man...frick this

Liked the food, hated the chairs. Those artsy metal chairs killed me, and the metal bar stools with no backs were a no-go zone for me. Frozen Pirogue in Bossier has some of them too. I hope Parish sells theirs to someone out of town so I never encounter them again.

Taco places are popping up left and right uptown Nola. I don’t get it though—taco spots are such a 2015 thing.

2015 was only 5 years ago. Are you saying that the “fad” is already over?
