$14 is definitely reasonable for a 9% DOUBLE IPA.

But this whole business about calling it a Triple IPA is nonsense. Let’s just start calling 7% hoppy beers DIPAs.

9%? How is that a triple? When I think triple I think 10-12%.

Well the entire double/triple thing for IPAs being tied to ABV has always been dumb

A regular IPA is 6%, and a double is 8%. I’m not mathematician but something seems off

But they changed the hop profile and are calling a 9% beer a triple IPA.

Per BJCP guidelines a double ipa is 7.5-10% ABV. This is where words mean things. I’m more inclined to buy a 9% DIPA from Parish because they do ghost at 8% very well. But if this was a true Triple IPA, I’d pass it up.

In the grand scheme of things is it really that big of a deal? Everyone raved over it last year despite being called a 3x ipa.

No it's not. But people here are making it a big thing because they hate Parish.

I think he's being facetious. No, it's not a big deal. No one is upset over it. It's simply a topic on a food and DRINK board. Ergo, posters will talk about it.

I do find it funny that Parish can't release a single beer without some silliness to it. Whether it be release limits, cost, condescending blogs, or misleading labels... Maybe when they move to Houston they'll get it straight.

The whole triple v double gripe is the dumbest silliness so far IMO. Who cares what they call it. The change in recipe is what concerns me, but hopefully it'll be as good as it was last year.

Envie and reve would be the only beers I would buy regularly.

Out of market IPAs don’t move fast enough and they tend to turd.
