If you just want raw oysters, go to the Blind Pelican

If you are looking to eat at nice places for a reasonable price, I would suggest going during lunch or just sitting at the bar. You could get a drink and a dozen charbroiled at the bar at Drago’s in the Hilton or the Oyster Appetizer at the bar at Clancy’s.

Luke has happy hour 75 cent oysters 3-6 every day. Seaworthy has half off oysters M-F, 4-6. Regular price? I'd choose Peche.

If you've never shucked your own oyster then opinion is not valid

Dad made sure I knew how to shuck an oyster as soon as possible so he wouldn't have to do it anymore. 10 yr old self still shucked better oysters than the gritty shite I got at Pelican.

For oysters, yes. It can be $4 per oyster especially with the finer ones like Island Creek. My personal favorite oyster bar around where you'll be is Felix's.

With that said, I eat at Peche every time I'm in New Orleans.

Not near you, but last time I had them on the half shell was at Cooter Brown's. About $13.00 for a doz.
