Of course - any fresh food suffers off season. I don't think it's as extreme as soon do, just like I don't think the risk is as great as some do. I'm less likely to seek them out in July, but I don't boycott them either.

Risk or not I did my part again today! Had some killer oyster tacos from GW Fins. The hot sauce was a must. Had Dragos early before the line formed. A dozen of those chargrilled makes a great partner for a Bloody Mary. And I actually ate the smoked fried oysters from Grand Isle again. Gin Blossoms brought a big crowd, great fest!

I went for the Revivalists and left because it was too damn hot. I went back out for Gin Blossoms and it was really nice.
I had the BBQ oysters from Red Fish Grill, but I asked them to put them in the tacos instead of as a po boy so that I'd have more room to eat more. It was delish!
Also had the shrimp cheesecake from Jacques Imo. It wasn't very good. Weird consistency. I think it was over cooked.

How is that place as an actual restaurant? Admittedly I had never even heard of the place until I had the oysters on Saturday.
