Yep 3 solid pours there for the $ and ease of getting altho BT may change. Makers if my go to daily and when im out because almost everyone has it. I like WT101 and the whole WT line. I just bought a barrel of Russles Reserve that is fantastic IMO.

The overall winner was WT101.

I guess I need to try this.

Someone brought it, so we tasted and scored it. You're right, I should have relabeled everything. Dork

Aww. Hurt feelings. You're one of those "i hate book lernin" people aren't you?

I'm impressed with your experiment. Seems like a lot of fun and semi-educational too. But don't act like a little girl when someone points out that they're separate whiskies with distinct (if at times overlapping) histories. Pedantic? Perhaps, but precision is what can separate us from the hoi polloi.

I need to retry. I thought it was too overpowering when I first tried it, but that has been a while ago.

Russell's Reserve Rye is my go-to these days. And I laugh at people chasing Weller. I just use it to make Po Man's Pappy.

Can't say I disagree. That's just how it worked out with what people brought. I'll definitely make sure we have each major distillery represented next year without crossing the line and being too much of a Francisco de Chicora.

Does your husband know how sensitive you are? At least you and your other lady friends enjoy bourbon (and rye apparently). Maybe next year you can do a gin tasting and let us know where the Grey Goose ranks.

I think I have 50/50 mixed every single 12/107 I have ever gotten. 12 is smooth but a little lite. 107 has more body but a little hot. Together they make good music.

Yep I love RR as well, so I was glad to pick one out

Did you go there to sample? How many barrels did you get to sample from? Mind telling us the price breakdown/timeline/hassle factor? TIA

I haven't had WT in decades and tend to shy away from 100+ proof stuff but I'm going to give this a try now.
