If I had to pick one, it would be fries. I can't tell you the last time I ate at a BK.
The onion rings there, and at most places, are too thick. Shred them and then fry them.
I hate biting into a big crunchy onion. Fried onion shreds are way better. For me.
Cotton's hamburgers in LC for onion rings.

BK fries used to be good, but I think someone became convinced that the Popeye's "battered fries" were the wave of the future, and BK went to something that resembled them. Big mistake, and they have never been the same.
The onion rings were pretty good, but I think they went the same way as the fries. Cheaper to cut costs.
Speaking of which, on an unrelated note, I have a standing "punch in the face" directive for the a-hole who came up with the "in order to cut costs, don't give people ketchup or other condiments unless they ask for it" policy that all of the fast food places (McD's was the first) have adopted over the last 20 years. I don't care if it was my fricking grandmother.

Fries. Those onion rings aren't very good, IMO. has anyone gotten onion rings at sonic recently and noticed that they now suck?

I don't know the answer to that. I do know that rally's was purchased by checkers and were rebranded in all but name to be identical to checkers...I have no clue why they would rename checkers to rally's.

I think every new restaurant that opens is called checkers...They opened a few where I live now and a few in little towns surrounding my hometown here in Louisiana and they are all checkers. As far as I know rally's only remain in areas where they were before the merger (Midwest, northeast) and even in those areas all the new restaurants are checkers.
I don't know why they would change the checkers in NOLA to Rally's especially since Rally's never existed in the south before.

Maybe the guy that owns the rally's in new orleans and houma owns some rally's in the midwest and bought them after the merger and wanted all of his restaurants to be rally's?

Well it's weird because the only checkers I remember was out by syc and I am out their all the time, it was a checkers and got changed to a rally's bizarre
