I received a gift card for them but have never ordered before. Any good? Best value? Must haves?

I received Omaha Steaks as gifts a couple of times. They were not good. Based on my limited experience, they are not good and not worth the prices I see.

My in-laws (who are terrible cooks) have been giving us an Omaha Steaks gift card for the past few years.
They think it’s a great gift. But we’ll just get the ribeye caps and spend the remaining balance on dessert and shrimp scampi (easy to just drop in a skillet and be eating in about 15 minutes).
This year the order came with a wine club offer (from WSJ wine) where you get 12 bottles for $70. I haven’t priced the bottles against Total Wine, but it seems like it might be worth it.

Definitely don’t waste it, but just know not to expect the steaks to be worth the price.

I'd order anything other than the steaks. Stock up on burgers or something.
