People were sitting there all day getting shithoused. The crowds were getting out of control.
It's supposed to be a place for post college aged people to have a good drink but it is filled with people getting tigerland drunk and puking all over

It’s not just you, went there on Sunday for brunch and found myself telling the gf to speak louder every time she spoke. It’s loud as frick in there

That's exactly why I didn't go. Isn't the purpose of AYCD to get drunk? What, did they think people were going to go there and drink 2 or 3 and then stop?
When your staff can't control the customers, what other choice do you have? People were absolutely wild. I used to go in on Saturday or Sunday afternoons right before bottomless ended just to watch
Usually bottomless mimosas are something you see in restaurants where people aren't camping out for hours getting tanked.

I used to take advantage of Masons brunch. Ah, college.

I hadn’t been there in a while but I did notice a new “warning” on the brunch menu. I’m paraphrasing but it basically said “we enjoy bottomless mimosas as well but if you start to have too much fun then we reserve the right to cut you off”

Seems like an easier solution is to just have cheap mimosas. I just left Overpass and they were $2 a piece. Had a few then cut it off because I didn’t feel like I “needed to get my money’s worth”.

At $2 you can drink as many as your body can handle and you’re still getting your money’s worth

I went yesterday around 5 for some apps before heading to the box. There was one table outside with 3 people who pretty tore up. Looked like they had been there since brunch. Then a group from inside helped a lady into her friends car for a ride home. She was basically passed out.

Right, but that's my point. It's not like I was sitting there going: "Ok, I paid $15 for bottomless and I've had one, so that's $15. Now I've had two, so they were $7.50. Now I've had three, so they were $5...etc...etc...".
Each one I had was $2, so when I decided that I had enough to drink, there was no stupid drunk math to frick up that responsible adult decision

I've stayed once until bottomless ended. Definitely very tipsy when we left, and I just drink regular mimosas and rather slowly compared to some people I see there. I can't imagine what it would have looked like if I had been drinking the craft mimosas. They make them strong, not just a dash of liquor.
I don't blame them for ending it, they said people were throwing up in the bar and just getting out of control. Somewhere like Masons people probably get less shitty because it's more of a restaurant. But it's easy to go sit at Olive or Twist at the bar and then realize hours later how long you've been there. Especially if there is a Saints or LSU game on.

Sounds to me like they were losing profit and put an end to it. Don’t advertise aycd if you don’t want people getting drunk. And I highly doubt people were puking all over — ive been to dozens of places that offer endless mimosas and ive never seen one single person puke.

It is definitely true. No idea if this is true but I was told one lady a while back puked all over the bathroom and passed out and had to be brought out. People have been out of control, as you can see several posters confirmed. It being a bar makes it a little different than most places you'd see bottomless mimosas.

I like the drinks there but the manager Josh is pretty intolerable.
