I highly recommend this place. I've been there several times but today I got the Italian Stallion and really enjoyed the sandwich.

Word to the wise - the "small" sandwich is plenty, at least for me it was.

Suprised by all the love.

I thought the last thing we needed there was a $20 poboy shop. I feel like they have a super limited menu and hours and the food doesnt justify the price.

Good luck to them, but I dont see how they make it. Not sure if they purchased the location or not. It was listed for 900k when Genes closed down, and they put a few dollars into it. Seems like it takes a lot of bread pudding to cover that note.

I miss being able to drive my tractors to get diesel.

So do you remember the place when it was B&C Grocery?

Yep. Bernice and Cathy. Used to ride my 4 wheeler there to fill up. Grew up just a couple of miles away.

Oh yeah Berl. I don't know if y'all are old enough to remember Laird's down Bennett Bridge about a mile west of 25. My dad used to bring me there on the way home once a week for a Big Red. He liked to stop a Reed's for boiled peanuts and a road home beer. Life was a tad different in the early 80's.

Yes, I'm old enough to remember Laird's Grocery. Joe's wife and my Dad were kin. You should have been there in the 60's and 70's. Talk about a great place to spend a summer.

My grandparents live in Folsom and we’re planning a trip later this summer. We’ll definitely try this spot.
