It's alright- getting used to it. A lot of good places to eat and things to do,but it's not the same as Louisiana

yeah, my sister lives near the Galleria and she said the same thing. She has been there for several years now, and loves it. doesn't see herself ever moving back to Louisiana. took her a while to get used to it, but the job market, quality of life, etc grew on her.

I know, I hear ya...look on the bright side, Houston is way better than Dallas, I lived in Dallas for 7 months...did not like it at all.

Sadly that's the case for us too. Not that we dont want to move back, but I really doubt that we'll ever get the chance. They'd move us overseas before back to La

It's growing on me. I had to drop my Texas sucks attitude and just go exploring. Houston has a lot to offer- a ton of awesome divey ethnic food places (which I love) and a ton of local independant places to eat.

Yea, I've never been a huge Dallas fan. At least a weekend trip home is do-able, but if we lived in dallas it would be less frequent.

No jobs. My husband is a petroleum engineer, but he doesnt work with oil when it's out of the ground- only when it's still in = Houston not BR.

The old Mike Andersons at the south gates of LSU on Highland Road. An old arse two story house with the best oyster loafs ever. It was never the same.

My in-laws talk about MA back then. They use to go and the whole family would split the seafood platter. By the way they say Camille’s in Erwinville reminds them of MA back then.

Capt Anderson's in Gonzalas used to be really awesome. We'd never go to Mike's because the line would be out the door.

Went back in December and it was really bad. Although I still freaking love their coleslaw
