Tony's Tavern

Had some of the best "oblong topedo shapped sandwiches on semi-soft yet crusty bread" in town. Fresh baked bread daily

The french dip was amazing

Does ANYONE besides me remember Leon's Italian Kitchen and where it was located? It was awesome. Just curious if anyone else remembers it.

Tony's Tavern- donuts

I grew up near Tony's.... To this day their donuts are still the best I've ever had! The also had some decent sandwiches.

Besides Mike and Tony's Steakhouse, another Baton Rouge hot spot was Leon's Italian Kitchen, on Weller two blocks off Scenic.

I beleive it was a Burger Tyme, a Mrs. Weiners Fried Chicken, and maybe a Bonaparts fried chicken, not sure if it was anything prior to that

I'd frequent the Rax on Essen where the movie theater used to be- alligator sippy cups were the best.

Johnny's Pizza on Perkins and another location, forget the street, but we'd go there after mass at St Patrick's (so it's in that area)
