Is this a recent review. I went two years ago and was super excited. I got the “feed me” and it was shite. I’m not picky but the food was so greasy and just not good. I’ve never been back.
Yeah I’ve gone maybe 4-5 times in the last year and a half and it’s been fantastic every time. I went a few years back when it first opened and it wasn’t anything special, but it’s upped its game tremendously.

It bothers the shite out of me when people or restaurants refer to a tasting menu as a "feed me". So trashy. Never seen it before other than in NOLA.

I liked Lengua Madre better than Saint Germain despite the fact that she was “DEI.” It was a good amount of food for a tasting menu too, including an entree sized piece of fish. Saint Germain is good too. I wasnt blown away with Emerils new tasting menu when I went; but I’ll give it another go.

Saint Germain and Emeril's both do 8-10 course tasting menus that are comparable to tasting menus that you will find in bigger cities.
August has a good 5 course menu, but I find that the quality has decreased over that last few years compared to where it was 10-15 years ago. I haven't been in 2 years, so maybe it has picked up.
Coquette has a blind tasting menu that is the best value in the city. Five course tasting with wine paring will run you about $130 per person.

Yeah I disagree with the poster who said Lengua Madre was overrated and was just because she was "DEI." She is a Mexican female chef with an elevated Mexican restaurant. It's not like she was bumped to the head chef at Coquette based on her characteristics. Maybe that poster had a bad dish, or just didn't like the food, and that's fine, but pretty shitty to hate on the chef who is a clearly talented individual.

N7 is more of the small plate/shareable dishes type menu. Cool atmosphere too.

Been to Emeril's twice recently and was very impressed, not just with the food but also they've elevated their service quite a bit.

Commander's Palace does an excellent tasting menu for group functions, not sure if they do it for the main dining area, but would be worth looking into. Very affordable.

Can look into the Chef's table at Commander's as well. Believe you can do 4 people.
