Between $75-100 per adult for app, entree and dessert. Hopefully someplace I can call today for a reservation tomorrow night.

Slacks/polo friendly.

Steakhouse, Italian, seafood...not picky.

Thanks in advance.

Last minute during Christmastime, you're probably going to be stuck eating at ~9PM for any of the popular/good places :/ I know OpenTable only holds a % of a restaurant's tables, but it is a good guide and it is showing anywhere good to be booked or only have 9-930pm openings.

Random favorites of mine are Doris Metropolitan, Coquette, and Compere Lapin.

I know. Timing sucks shite. I’ve got a function tomorrow night that I have to attend but don’t want to stay long. I figure a reservation gets me out early plus I can snag a cool meal. :p

Man, there are so many freaking restaurants to choose from. If you wanted to narrow it down to a certain area of town that might help. And yes, it's going to be tough to get into a lot of the downtown places on this short of notice.

Mr. Johns, Marcellos, Josephine Estelle, Irenes, Itallian Barrel, are just a few that come to mind.

If you can't get one, you could always just lie and say you have a reservation and then walk in somewhere and wait for an available walk-in table Assuming it is only 1-2 of you? Should be easy.

I do prefer not to lie, but it certainly isn’t a hard and fast rule of mine.

Any of those are good choices. May put PC at the bottom though

Any opinions on SoBou? Never been but I’d like to try it.

It would just be a reservation for two, and anywhere in the entire metro area is acceptable.

Try Meril in the Warehouse District, as well. They seem to handle crowded nights well.
