absolutely priceless ..

NYP is a true new york/new jersey italian experience .. some of these people are expecting a galatoires type atmosphere or something for $40 ..

Is the Jazzercise place still next door? I was sitting there one night eating a pie and drinking wine and almost got the urge to breakdance since the music and stomping of the people was coming through the wall.

Catman, you pretty much proved my point.

My Pizza- 14.50
GF Pizza- 12.50
Cheese Bread- 6.50
Tax- 3.01

Total of $36.51

Im sorry but I can get 2 large specialty pizzas from Pizza hut or Papa John's for $20.

I'll definitely try his buffet again, but I don't think its worth getting take out.

WITH A COUPON or Special! You can get THREE Large pizzas from NY Pizza Co with a COUPON for 15 dollars!

How in the hell can you compare menu price to one place that is a restaurant to a take out place WITH A COUPON??

New Coupons & Specials! We have some FABULOUS new specials and coupons for you on our website! Some of these new coupons include: buy two large pizzas, get one free; bring in a Blockbuster receipt and receive 10% off your order; 3 large pizzas for $5.00 each; buy 3 spaghetti dinners and get the 4th free; FREE delivery and HALF-OFF our Italian Lunch Feast Buffet.

At least be resonable and compare apples to apples..

His last email said something about live music.. Johnny Spinosa?? Jazz? Anyone ever go for this? Of course I hear Papa Johns offers this when you buy a overpriced pizza too.

Because its fricking retards like you people that is the reason BR is so full of fricking CHAINS that are horrible. The family owned places are INCORRECTLY labled as too expensive etc. Even when factually proven wrong. People like you is what is wrong with BR and why we cannot have better food in this city.

Just look at this thread.. You compare the NY Pizza to DOMINOS! Then claim that dominos is cheaper which it isnt. Johnny TRIED to give you a way to get coupons directly from him so your meal could be cheaper and what did you do? You gave him an email address you will never check. Instead you will choose to take coupons from a chain and support a chain.

8.95 must be for a personal size, just cheese. any time you add meat toppings it was like $1.25 more and veggie/cheese toppings were like $1.15 more. something like that. all i know is i was going to order a personal size with pepperoni, ground beef and roma tomatoes and it was going to cost me like $14. you can get 3 small pizzas at dominos for $12.

As an example.. This small 3 topping pizza at Dominos I just priced online will cost you $13.07 at menu price. And they dont offer Roma tomatoes.. But again you want to use a special or coupon but when offered an easy way to get them basically snubbed the owner who offered them to you. Ever have the owner of Dominos personally offer you something?

Looking at NY Menu.. This pizza would cost

7.99 10 inch
1.25 pep
1.25 beef
.75 roma

Total 11.24 with tax 12.25

Its a fact that the NY Pizza is cheaper than Dominoes menu.

I like NY Pizza its not my favorite place in the world but shite I want places like this to survive in BR. NOT the Dominos.

i actually didn't have the pizza so i can't compare, but if it's so good, they need to stick with pizza only because the sandwich was nasty. which makes me NOT want to go back and order a pizza.

and of course i'm going to want to go to listen to their live music when they don't even sell liquor.....

Even though I understand where you're coming from, I still don't find his food to be worth the money, I'm sorry but thats just my opinion.

I really have no problem paying for good food.......I really love going out to eat: Juban, Louisiana Lagniappe, etc.

I just don't ever expect my to-go orders to be above the $30 range. I tried going to his website to view these coupons, but his website wont work, so........

I just cant stand how you thing everyone who doesn't share the same opinion as you is WRONG.

true new york city pizza joint

I've lived in New York and the wife is from the hill area of St. Louis. This ain't it, man. Running a kitchen with some verve is one thing, waiting over an hour for pizza (twice) is just crappy management. I like the concept. He uses a gas oven. Unfortunately, there is something missing over there. Coupons--wow. Next he'll be in those Entertainment books my kid's school sells.

Because its NOT an opinion.. Saying Papa Johns is cheap and NY Pizza is expensive is NOT an opinion its something that cannot be backed up by facts. If you want to say Papa Johns runs better specials then thats an opinion and I would agree with you. But you cannot look at the menu's of the two places and lay claim that Papa Johns pizza is cheaper for take out than NY Pizza. Its just not.

Did you talk to Johnny about this? If you talked to him about this and he didnt do anything then yes its crappy managment. I had this happen at a Georges location once and I wont be back there.

The place really has to fix the liquor problem though. You cannot have a pizza place survive without being able to sell beer to dine in.

well said. that's why i think he is great friends with the guy or something. if he thinks that this little NY Pizza place is supposed to shut down the Dominos of baton rouge, he is sadly mistaken.

My Opinion: I don't think it's worth the money?..........that's an opinion.

Who the heck pays $10 for a small pizza at Domino's............everybody just gets the 555 deal, that's an everyday thing.
