Packaging is top-notch and Eric Church is co-owner of it, but for $200 per bottle it better also be legit great whiskey.

It’s a cool bottle, but about 4x-5x my normal price range. Nice job on the artwork, though

So you don’t have any info on this other than ‘I did some of the packaging’ and it’s artificially high in price because it has a small time celebrity attached to it?
Seems like less a recommendation and more of a ‘look at me’ post.

For those wondering about what’s in the bottle:
quote:
70% Indiana bourbon made from 99% corn and 1% malted barley. Distilled in Indiana, and aged 7 and 8 years for a smooth corn character, this bourbon component retains its rich and sweet corn character, with structure and depth from the cask.
21% Canadian rye made from 91% rye and 9% malted barley. Distilled in Alberta, Canada, and aged 20 years, this is a highly esterified and perfumed rye whiskey with pronounced butterscotch, spice and finesse that comes from spending the last two decades in barrels.
The last 9% of this remarkable blend is 100% malted barley from Indiana. Aged four years, this malt-forward American Single Malt has a beautiful balance of rich, nutty malt character – and strong vanilla, smoke and caramel notes borrowed from its new American oak casks.

For $200 a bottle Eric Church better blow me while I drink it.

Wasn’t Eric Church just doing a bud light commercial ? I’ll pass on this shite too.
Not that I’m buying a blended whiskey for $200. Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is $55 and will kick the shite out of most things anyways.

No. I’m seriously questioning the $200 price for an unknown BLENDED whiskey whose only selling points out of the gate are nice packaging and Eric Church. And I guess winning double gold at some competition that literally hundreds of other whiskies also won double gold at. $200 seems ridiculous to me.
