Did people go to Murrell's sober?

I didn't know that was a thing...

No one in Murrell's or Nanking was remotely sober after 2:00 am. Nothing made the room stop spinning as well as a plate of ham hock & butter beans with a side of fries and brown gravy. The graveyard shift waitress, Mary, was a saint for enduring our predawn idiocy.

This is down the street from the house. I told the wife when I saw it being built that it would have to be the highest grossing one in the country. You've got round bar, brass monkey, and the cub almost in their damn parking lot. I'll be stopping by and getting a chop house cheddar very soon.

I think they might have an 24/7 open dining area or a walk up window for the 2 am zombies.

yea and it's in the center of town pretty much. centenary kids will go there, barksdale area in bossier will, etc. not even to mention the insane money from the drunks now.

Bert kouns and Benton road were so out of the way for people in the Shreveport barksdale area. I know I would've eaten it a lot more if there was one where this one is now.

The old German waitress had pity on me and allowed me to stay as long as I bought a piece of toast and coffee for 50 cents. I don't remember her name but I recall that she was from a town called Stuttgard. She is long dead. But her kindness is remembered today in this post.

A German waitress who worked at George's for 27 years recently moved down the street to Strawn's. She is Gudrun Robinson, AKA Red.

The Times did a profile on her. LINK

Is this her?

That's likely the old woman's grandchild. Zach's old.
