Just looked at my existing pot and decided I want to buy a new one. Probably 30 qt is fine, would like 2 pot setup with fryer basket, also want a burner that I could also use with 100 qt for crawfish (so no burners with the safety arms for the smaller pots). Last, would like to test run this weekend so either local pickup (Academy, Home Depot, etc) or Amazon Prime.

Is there a setup around $100 that has all this, can also buy separate pieces? Thanks.

I hate to butt in but if someone can answer my question after or at the same time for OPs question. I have a Loco fish fryer and I believe it’s a 50,000 btu burner. Wondering if I bought a pot to fry a turkey if that burner would be enough to heat it up? I’ve never fried one but someone else is offering to who knows how and I was just gonna buy a pot instead of whole setup if possible

For frying turkeys, are y'all using a banjo style or crawfish style burner?

It won't. Really need a jet burner. Once you put the turkey in and that temp drops, it's a bitch to get it back up to temp without the Jet burner.

I have a jet burner and a 80 and 100 qt that I will use for crawfish. Just thinking if I can find a package with burner that makes sense, it should also be able to serve double duty as an extra/backup for crawfish.

I bought this last year to add to the pot I already had since I was frying 6 turkeys and didn't want to spend the better part of the day standing around a pot watching birds cook.

It is a 30 qt. frying pot that has a basket for frying other products. There is also a 10 qt. frying pot with its own basket, a high temperature thermometer, a hook to remove the turkey from the big frying pot and a lid that fits both pots.

It is made by Loco Cookers and I got it from Lowes for around $70 if I recall correctly. I already have 3 jet burners so that wasn't needed.

ETA: Just checked Lowes site and the do have them in stock for $59.

I am going to pick up one of the Loco fryer kits from lowes as well. The one I think I am going to get is the Sure Spark model because it looks like the basket that comes with the kit is taller than the one that comes with just the pot kit you are talking about.

I have jet burners, but that taller basket in the sure spark kit would be more useful for shrimp or other smaller boils IMO. It will also be nice to light it with a push of a button vs a aim n flame.

Id take a look at there line up they have these tabs that allow you to just lift out the basket and let it drain in the pot. You also don't have to fool with timers or buttons you have to hold down for 15sec to light because that kit has something that will shut it off automatically if it hits 400deg.

This looks good. Only concern is not sure the burner allows for a bigger sized pot to sit on it if needed?

How does it know what temp the oil is since it regulates the flame?

It has a part that sits either on or right next to the pot. I dont have it yet but it’s supposed to detect when it’s too hot (think 400) and shuts the propane off.
