You can get that beer most places. If it says Parish and "pilsner" on it, then it's all the same beer. They just repackage based on the holiday/event.

Did they repackage the same beer?

Don't breweries just rebrand the 4000 ipa varients as well?

I'm sure some might. I don't know of any, personally, that do. We have several local breweries that brew 500 hazy IPA's which may be the same malt bill but have differing hop varietals, hopping rates, etc... Not quite the same as literally just repackaging the exact same beer.

My main gripe is i was hoping this was just a different style/recipe pilsner. I was hoping Parish was going to start getting into the lager game and fine tune their existing pilsner and create really great lagers.

I agree that it is kind of chicken shite to do it.

At least own it and say "grab a can of pilsner specially branded for XXX event." Then tell about the proceeds and donation.

I thought it was quite a myopic view at the time but I look around now and everyone is making and drinking lagers...

All I want is real lager made from barley, water, yeast, and hops in a can that was made within the last 6 months. Basically the only suitable options I can ever find are Bells lager of the lakes and Oskar Blues mama's little yella pils.

Yes they did. I asked about it Saturday in the taproom and they told me it was the same beer. It's not new, they did this packaging last year too, it's just special packaging for Festival International.

Bad excuse for them to charge $16/6
