Friend,

Interesting that no refunds appear to be available. Did you read about the World Health Organization 2016 study that showed that 1 in every 20 deaths is caused by alcohol, that most dangerous drug?

Especially at a time like this we should be boycotting Big Alcohol and its tentacles of propaganda. Show the world we don’t need alcohol to enjoy life. The real flavor of life is in relationship, prayer, service, and the arts. Alcohol only corrupts and breaks down the good life. Let us celebrate this good life, not the drug that destroys it.

Sincerely,
TulaneLSU

Second event these guys have set up that has been cancelled this year. The first was a Prohibition Bourbon Dinner that cancelled out a couple of days before the event. They refunded my ticket price but I still got stung on hotel and other reservations I had made. I think I am just going to write this guy off for future events.

Also, the charity beneficiary, Kids Can Nola, has an extremely sketchy website. It claims to help kids, yet website lists absolutely zero info on who receives funds, how much was raised or distributed to benefit kids, zero info on its board or governance, and the only photo is of the winner of a bottle of Buffalo Trace. Donation info is prominently featured, but nothing on that website makes it seem like a legit, functioning organization.

Gotta agree. They didn’t put a lot of thought into their Mission statement for sure. From the website:

Kids Can NOLA is a not for profit organization designed to benefit the welfare of children.

Whether it be educational, medical or the general well-being of a child, Kids Can NOLA wants to be there to make that child's life better.

One of my friends is involved in this and it is a very awesome and legit event.

They are working on new dates in May.
