Holy shite.

That frickin' place still wants you to wear masks. Not only that but they've got rules about the how's and when's of it all.

Nah, they just haven't updated their site since restrictions ended.

I went a few weeks ago for the first time since the pandemic I think, and they still were. You ordered outside, and you couldn't come inside without a mask.

Its so beyond absurd, but its a religion to these people.

Along with BLM and their attempt to dismantle patriarchal white supremacy

Dude was already as far left as I thought someone could be, but when he didn't immediately go *Far enough* during the BLM stuff and got attacked for it, he went super far off the deep end. Just posts literal communist propaganda all day and so on.

It was funny when he was called out for his fundraiser that pulled attention from another predominantly black fundraiser.

And his long time kitchen worker called an Uncle Tom.

It was pretty hilarious.

The key to me is never virtue signal, because we these nuts, you can never go far enough.

Just keep your business apolitical

What I’ve learned from this thread

- Covid restrictions = big deal
- Political signaling = big deal
- over 2 dozen women accusing you and your business of sexual allegations = no big deal

August is still owned by BRG. I'll give you two guesses as to what the B stands for.

As bad as it is to say, it is part of the industry.

Doesn't excuse it, but I don't see people boycotting apple or nike despite their well known professional exploitations.

I think time has shown he was railroaded. Especially seeing how Alon and investors were likely the source behind a lot of the hyping up of the stories.

He certainly stood to take a hit for his actions, but the hysterics of the accusations haven't withstood over time.

I was directly responding to this. And I’d say dealing with workers who lean strongly to the left is definitely “part of the industry”.

And I’m not telling anyone where they should or shouldn’t go. If I’m going to spend the kind of money you drop at August, I’m just going somewhere else.
