New one at Popeye's

Apparently at my Popeyes they've figured out a new angle. I'm not sure what it is but instead of pulling up they asked me to back up past a pole then pull back up to the window. I know it's gaming their metrics but how?
EDIT: Good god, what the frick am I talking about?

It counts you as a new customer so their timer resets. According to corporate, you are going to the most efficient Popeyes in the country

I figured that was part of it, but the part I can't figure out is how management doesn't notice they have more drive-thru customers than drive-thru orders. I paid once, but was counted as two cars if I backed up, pulled up to the window, and triggered the sensor again. If I just pull forward, I don't trigger the sensor a second time. Maybe they don't look at the number of cars that went through the drive-thru versus how many drive-thru orders they had?
Geauxt, it's something new that the workers at my Popeye's are having customers do to game their metrics when they can't fill an order in time. Instead of asking me to pull forward and wait like most Popeyes, they asked me to back up past a pole (that I assume marks their car sensor) and then pull up to the window again to wait.

Drunk already?
Nah. It's too early to be drunk. This is the withdrawal talking.

Yeah, yeah, I understand that it's resetting their timers. It's the double counting that bothers me.
Also, I need to learn not to start threads too early in the day. This one is pretty dumb but, screw it, I'm running with it.

I understood you perfectly.
They did that to me at Jack In The Box one time. I didn't understand it either. Still don't.

The probably don't count # of cars and # of orders separately since 99.99% of cars that go through the drive through place an order.
They probably count # of orders and # of orders filled in time, in which case what they are asking you to do makes sense.

I've had them ask me to do that before

Who says they are not worth $15/hr.

Could be timer reset but I have also heard they will mark you as a “drive off” and hope you pay with cash and they just stick money in pocket. They gonna get der $15 and hour believe dat

I'm not sure which one... I'm guessing their TCs and service times come straight from the POS..
