So first off, NH pizza is nowhere near as good as NYC pizza. I have been to both Sally's and Frank Pepe's and of the 2 Pepe's was better but Sally's has a great old skool atmosphere. But they had to re-start the oven at Sallys when I was there so that may have affected the pizza. Pepe's has a sampler plate, like a beer flight, of their various styles which is a good thing to get. I got the clam pizza as one of the samples and it was meh. The Quatro Formaggio (sp) was the best one. We have friends that live up there and they say Zuppardi's Apizza is their fav but they also have a bunch of kids and Zuppardis doesnt have a wait to get in like Sally's and Pepe's. I'll be back up there this summer and will try Zuppardi's and Little Rendevoux which is outside NH.
Brooklyn is a really big area and has a lot of low key great pizza spots in addition to the name spots. Joe& Sals is damn good pizza without a line. Near Joe$ Sals is a latin american place called Ix Restaurant which is very casual and solid food. The Crabby Shack is a good casual spot.

Sally’s is my favorite pizza. John’s of Bleeker number two.

I didn’t care for the clam at Pepe’s. I haven’t tried their other pizzas. I’ve not been to Sally’s. Modern was good. Can’t go wrong with Bar or even a small place like One 6 Three. There is good pizza at lots of places.

Sally's
Get half tomato sauce pie and half tomato and mozzarella pie if you want to try two different styles. The tomato sauce pie (with I think parm on top) is the best bite of pizza I've ever had. Liked it more than Pepe's. Modern Apizza is pretty great too.

Family and I are stopping in New Haven to try the pizza on a road trip up to Maine. We decided we’d get a pie from both Sally’s and Frank Pepe’s and try them both.

Modern Apizza
BAR has an excellent mashed potato and bacon pizza as well.

I would say they are my two favorite pizzas. John’s is across from The Blind Tiger which is an added benefit. Rubirosa is also pretty damn alright.
