Best place to buy? Best way to cook? Oven? Green egg? Smoker?

Which stuffing? Dirty rice? Pork based?

Might try this out this Thanksgiving.

ETA: I’m assuming trashy level is about 2/10, so just figured that in the mix.

I’m looking online now, there’s a turducken roll, which I guess is just a non-full bird version

Chris's Specialty Foods does a Turducken Roll which is just the white meat and it's fantastic.

They will be taking Christmas orders right after Thanksgiving.

It's good in the capacity of that it gives everyone at the table options without having to cook three different birds. So if you're trying to simplify things, it makes sense. It's also obviously an interesting novelty item.

But beyond that, it's basically a mediocre+ version of each of those birds individually.

Forget the turducken, I'll take a boudin stuffed chicken all day.

That should be a Thanksgiving tradition.

Alpine steakhouse in Sarasota Florida was the first place I've ever heard of it. It was on diners drive ins and dives with Guy F.

If you make your own, get creative between the layers... Boudin, Chorizo, cornbread or crawfish dressing... anything is good.

. Really because it will cost at least $60 to make your own and at least $80 to buy one. Way more expensive than a turkey. Don't see it as being trashy

Thanks NP. I’m thinking of just adding it to our regular repertoire this year.

ETA: Nola or Northshore buying area.

THe one time we did one it was super greasy. Like the pan had an inch or two of grease by the end.
