Go to Ducote’s restaurant supply. You can get a pair for around $5, and they will last forever.

Go look at Lowe's. They are getting close to closeout for the year now. You already know to buy long tongs to protect your hands from the high heat of your grill. Get a good pair of heavy gloves if you ever find them. They are nice too. I have an old pair of soft cowhide gloves I use, so they don't actually have to be BBQ gloves.

thanks coach and MD...I'm looking at the OXO's...nice but pricy...
I'll check out Ducote's and Lowes since I have to go to Lowe's anyway and like to look around in restaurant supply places...

They have knockoff OXO's at Ducotes for $6. I bought a pair this week.

Regular spring loaded tongs are the best. Make sure they don't have rubber tips for handling stuff around hot fire...

Goodwood Hardware. They have a large section of bbq utensils. Local distributor for Big Green Egg.

have those and ended up with the OXO's...pigtail fork would not work very well on veggies...

hmmm...that pigtail turner sure would be helpful for the large pieces I do...
