Need functional flatware

All our current utensils were bought for looks. I hate all of them. Can you recommend something that is comfortable to use that a woman may not find objectionable?

Henckels, Mikasa maybe. Also have a set bought for pattern, Oneida, not 18/10 and lightweight.

I needed some extras one day and stopped at Kohl’s. I picked up what I thought were two packages of dinner forks, but I actually bought one pack of dinner forks and one pack of salad forks.
The two on the right, with a salad fork from a different set for comparison.
And then the new salad fork on the far right, next to two other salad forks.
I ended up buying more of the salad forks and we use them as dinner forks. We like their size and weight more than the larger dinner fork. My point is, maybe you’ll prefer the heavier, larger, dinner fork, while your wife prefers the salad fork size. Wish I had the
pattern name. Brand is Oneida.

Liberty Tabletop
I bought sets from here a few months back, and they are awesome. They are very high quality, look great, are heavy and are perfectly functional. I felt the same as you. I was tired of uncomfortable flatware that looked pretty but sucked to use. I did a bunch of research and landed on these.
I highly recommend. Plus they are made in the USA

Got these recently. Have a little weight to them and simple design. I hate all of that ornate shite too.

Another vote for Liberty. Bought a set a few years ago and they have held up very well. Got the Annapolis set, highly recommend.

We got a big set of Mikasa flatware at Costco a few years ago. Nice and simple. I don't like designs all over the handles. Looks tacky and busy.

I forget the pattern but we have 18/10 Mikasa and it is great. I looked at Liberty but it was more than twice the price for similar of their budget pattern.
