This weekend we went to the island for the Nantucket Food and wine Festival. It was an absolute blast and we learned a lot about wines we had never heard of, such as British sparkling wines and Chilean reds. The entire weekend was incredible.

However, there was one event that we got tickets for that stood out above the rest. Owners of homes on the island will host people and serve a meal paired with wines from a specific vineyard. We had the chance to be among about 20 people who went to the Opus One dinner, and I thought I’d share photos of the meal with the F&DB crew!

That looks like an amazing meal and a very tasty wine pairing.

Which was your favorite dish? Glass?

On another note, we are headed up your way in July. Only in Bean town one night and need a recommendation for somewhere to grab a pint & listen to music after the game. Nothing too close to the stadium.

Cheers!

Good questions. I have to say it’s hard to beat the wagyu sirloin with rib cap fried rice, but that black truffle short rib crepe came damn close.

All the wines were incredible - far better than anything I normally drink! But I was partial to the 2005.

We made some great friends and had an amazing meal in the process. Well worth it.

For live music, maybe check house of blues to see if they have any shows? Otherwise maybe check out Loretta’s Last Call.
