Back when the Bayou was open you could buy PBR for a buck a can in the 1990s. It was the beer of people who didn't have much money left at the bar and people who drank cheap beer because it was a good beer.
You could drink PBR without trying to send a message like the hipsters with their goofy long beards, jeans they haven't washed in two years, and flannel shirts being worn in the summer.

I miss Pearl- that was my favorite TX beer- over Shiner and Lone Star.
You could get it in New Orleans at most Winn-Dixies and Canal Villeries.

I agree with whoever suggested that you go find a good local pilsner, kolsch, or wheat beer. Support local businesses. It might cost a little more, but you'll be drinking some good stuff and helping your local community.
