I eat plenty of things that aren't a "bunch of crap", but usually not at high school graduation parties. And that's really not the point of these threads.

Don't listen to that nerd. The people who appreciate food, and pictures of it, support your effort.
Good work. But remember, more Beam next time.

You mad
Life is too good to be getting mad about a food board brah. But this is a place for opinions is it not ? IMO the thread should be titled what not to eat while visiting Georgetown, TX. Well expect for the Rudy's. I love me some moist brisket from there.
Maybe I'll take pictures of everything I eat this weekend so you guys can criticize me.

Would love to see your pics
I bet we enjoy the same restaurants here in NOLA

Haha. You would be shocked at how me and my wife look after seeing this. We weigh 250 lbs combined.
I was just thinking, "There's a reason this dude isn't posting any pics of himself. Has to weight 350."
Enjoy that metabolism, brother. I used to be able to do it like that as well, but then I hit 40.
I still put it down like that on special weekends, but I have to diet like a madman and work out like crazy during the week to allow for it.

Not sure what Rudy's does to that Cream Corn but that stuff is legit.

adding width=500 after the ".jpg" of the pictures would make them easier to see.
Also. I spent a lot of time in G-town. I'm from Round Rock originally and my grandparents farm is between G-town and Hutto.
Lots of good memories out there.

I'm on mobile, but the pictures look large to me? I'll take a look at it a little later.
Georgetown and Round Rock is a great part of Texas. I love it out there. Next time I'll get pictures at The Monument and El Monumente. I love both of those restaurants in Georgetown as well. Anything special in Roundrock?

I think he is saying they are too big. Scaling them down would help.

As for the thread, this is an interesting take on a trip to that area. I'm torn because I agree with Wise that the whole trip is pretty mediocre at best, but it's a representation of Texas staples to someone who has never eaten these foods before.
In-n-Out is a novelty that you can't get anywhere further east, but they are overrated.
Kolaches are super popular in Texas and worth a try, although Shipley's aren't all that great IMO.
I'm certainly not above Rudy's, but everyone knows there is much better barbecue in that part of the state. It's probably the best option for convenient/decent Texas barbecue.
I don't think there's any shame in a Chuy's meal from time to time, and I personally like their beans more than most tex-mex place's refried beans. But they are certainly mediocre in the realm of tex-mex. And I generally hate the atmosphere in there.
A late-night trip to Whataburger is almost obligatory for anyone who doesn't visit Texas very often.
All in all, I was entertained by the thread, but as others have said, I feel like I need to work out. And I never work out.
ETA: full disclosure... I have eaten everything listed (except the Dos Salsas and the deserts) and I am not above eating any of it again. Just not all in the same weekend for sure.

Ah! Good point, thanks for the help. I'll look at fixing that. I'm not used to posting a bunch of pictures at once on this.
Thank you for understanding the point of this thread. It's not about having the best foodie weekend. It's about indulging with food and family in that part of texas for one weekend while celebrating my Sister in laws graduation.
Next time we visit we'll drive to Austin for the real good things like Ramen Tatsu-ya, Torchy's tacos, La Barbecue, and East side king.

I'm actually part of a podcast sponsored by Jim Beam. I wonder if they'd be interested in sponsoring Arse's adventures

You didn't get Round Rock doughnuts! That's a must.
