Button mushrooms

When I kick the fire on I add garlic, onions, potatoes and carrots. When it comes to a boil I time it for 10 minutes and then add my mushrooms, corn and sausage and boil that for 5 minutes. I take that out, set it in an ice chest then boil my crawfish.

I've used the baby-bellas before just because that's what the sell at Sam's for cheap. They work. At the end of the day I don't know that I could tell a difference.

I don't do that. Just put them in there to keep them warm. I season my water like a true coonass should.

I know this is a joke, but am I the only one who puts them in at the very beginning with my potatoes and garlic and everything?

It was and no you're not the only one. That's when mine go in...with everything else.

Shrooms are old news. Brussprouts is the new deal.

I'd almost rather have no crawfish than not have mushrooms at a boil. Almost. But seriously, they are that good.

Try cactus (if you can find it) or golden beats (skin removed, cut up in 2 bite pieces.
